4MP High-Resolution Imaging

The camera provides 2560 × 1440 resolution, producing detailed video suitable for a range of security applications. The progressive scan CMOS sensor helps deliver smooth images, while the 30fps frame rate provides fluid video for monitoring moving subjects.

Motorized 2.8–12mm Varifocal Lens

The motorized varifocal lens gives installers greater flexibility when setting up the camera. With a 2.8–12mm focal range, the viewing angle can be adjusted to suit different monitoring areas without needing to replace the lens.

Advanced Low-Light Performance

The camera is designed to maintain useful colour images in low-light conditions. Its specified colour sensitivity reaches 0.002 lux at F1.2 with AGC enabled, making it suitable for areas where lighting levels can become very low.

50m IR Night Vision

For nighttime surveillance, the built-in infrared system provides an IR range of up to 50 metres. This helps extend monitoring into dark outdoor areas while maintaining visibility after sunset.

140dB WDR and 3D DNR

The 140dB Wide Dynamic Range technology helps balance scenes containing both bright and dark areas. This can be particularly useful near entrances, windows, gates, and other locations where strong backlighting may affect image quality. 3D Digital Noise Reduction also helps reduce image noise and improve video clarity.

Efficient H.265+ Video Compression

The camera supports H.265, H.265+, H.264 and H.264+ video compression formats. H.265+ can help reduce bandwidth and storage requirements while maintaining useful image quality, making it practical for systems where recording space and network resources need to be managed efficiently.

Smart Detection Features

The DS-2CD5A46G0-IZHSY includes intelligent surveillance functions such as face detection, six behaviour analysis features and two exception detection functions. These features can assist with monitoring and help security systems identify relevant events more efficiently.

Local Storage and Alarm Connections

A built-in microSD/SDHC/SDXC card slot supports cards up to 256GB, allowing compatible footage to be stored locally. The camera also includes alarm input and output connections for integration with suitable security equipment.

Outdoor and Anti-Corrosion Protection

Built for demanding outdoor environments, the camera features IP67 protection against dust and water and IK10 impact protection. Its NEMA 4X anti-corrosion rating provides additional protection in environments where corrosion resistance is important.
