Hikvision DS-KAD706Y-P Gen 2 2 WIRE Intercom, Video/Audio Distributor, up to 6 Devices

The Hikvision DS-KAD706Y-P Gen 2 is a reliable 2-wire video and audio distributor designed for Hikvision’s latest generation Y Series intercom systems. It provides power and communication between door stations and indoor room stations, making it a practical choice for residential buildings, apartments, offices, and other properties using a 2-wire intercom setup.

Reliable 2-Wire Intercom Distribution

This distributor supports up to six connected devices or channels. One channel can be used with a compatible door station such as the DS-KD8003Y-IME2 or with a room station such as the DS-KH6320Y-WTE2. The remaining five channels are designed for compatible room stations, providing a flexible way to expand an intercom installation.

Supports Video and Audio Communication

The DS-KAD706Y-P Gen 2 helps provide communication between the door and indoor stations through a single 2-wire connection. This makes installation easier while maintaining reliable video and audio communication across the intercom system.

Up to Six Devices

With support for up to six devices, the distributor is suitable for installations that require multiple indoor stations. It can help simplify system design while providing a central connection point for compatible Hikvision intercom devices.

IP Over 2-Wire Technology

The unit uses IP-over-2-wire technology, allowing a Hikvision 2-wire intercom system to connect to a network. This also enables supported remote functions through the Hik-Connect mobile application when the complete system is correctly configured and connected to the internet.

Easy Upgrade for Existing Cabling

One of the key benefits of the DS-KAD706Y-P Gen 2 is its suitability for upgrading existing installations. The 2-wire connection is non-polarity conscious, which can make wiring more convenient and reduce the need to replace existing cabling in suitable upgrade projects.

Practical Installation Solution

By using existing 2-wire infrastructure where compatible, installers can upgrade an intercom system without completely redesigning the cabling. This can make the distributor a useful option for renovation and replacement projects.

Designed for Y Series Intercom Systems

The DS-KAD706Y-P Gen 2 is specifically designed for Hikvision’s new generation Y Series intercom products. Compatibility should be checked before installation to ensure that all connected door stations and room stations belong to the supported Y Series range.
